Instructions
Step 1: Cook the Pasta
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.
- Add pasta and cook according to the package instructions until al dente.
- Reserve ½ cup of pasta water, then drain and set aside.
Step 2: Prepare the Chicken
- In a bowl, season the chicken pieces with salt, pepper, Italian seasoning, and paprika.
- Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add olive oil and butter.
- Add the seasoned chicken pieces and cook for 4-5 minutes per side, until golden brown and fully cooked.
- Remove the chicken from the skillet and set it aside on a plate.
Step 3: Make the Garlic Parmesan Sauce
- In the same skillet, add 3 tbsp butter and melt over medium heat.
- Add minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds to 1 minute until fragrant.
- Pour in chicken broth and let it simmer for 1-2 minutes to deglaze the pan.
- Lower the heat and slowly add heavy cream, stirring continuously.
- Stir in Parmesan cheese, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes. Mix well until the sauce is smooth.
- If the sauce is too thick, add a splash of milk or reserved pasta water to reach your desired consistency.
Step 4: Combine Everything
- Return the cooked chicken to the skillet and stir to coat with the sauce.
- Add the cooked pasta and toss everything together until evenly combined.
- Let the pasta cook in the sauce for another 1-2 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld.
Step 5: Serve & Garnish
- Remove from heat and garnish with fresh parsley and extra Parmesan cheese.
- Serve immediately and enjoy!
