Equipment

  • 1 Microwave-safe mixing bowl
  • 1 Rubber spatula or spoon
  • 1 8x8-inch square baking pan
  • Parchment Paper
  • Measuring cups and spoons

Ingredients

  • 1 cup (240g) Peanut Butter Smooth or creamy works best. Avoid natural peanut butter as it can separate
  • 1 can (14 oz/397g) Sweetened Condensed Milk Provides richness and sweetness
  • 1 tub (16 oz/454g) Vanilla Frosting Store-bought works perfectly; choose your favorite brand
  • Optional: ½ Cup (60g) Chopped Peanuts For added crunch and texture
  • Optional: 1 tsp Vanilla Extract To enhance flavor

Instructions

  • Prepare the Pan:Line an 8x8-inch square baking pan with parchment paper, allowing some overhang for easy removal later.
Melt Peanut Butter and Sweetened Condensed Milk:In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the peanut butter and sweetened condensed milk. Heat on high for 1-2 minutes in 30-second intervals, stirring well after each interval, until the mixture is smooth and fully combined.
Incorporate Frosting:Add the vanilla frosting directly to the warm peanut butter mixture. Stir until smooth and evenly blended. If desired, mix in the vanilla extract and chopped peanuts for added flavor and texture.
Pour and Spread:Pour the mixture into the prepared baking pan. Use a spatula to smooth the top into an even layer.
Chill to Set:Cover the pan loosely with plastic wrap or foil and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or until the fudge is firm and set.
Slice and Serve:Lift the fudge out of the pan using the parchment paper overhang. Cut into squares with a sharp knife. Serve chilled or at room temperature.

Notes

  • Substitutions: Crunchy peanut butter can be used if you want more texture, but it may make the fudge less smooth.
  • Add-Ins: For extra flair, swirl in melted chocolate before refrigerating or sprinkle the top with sea salt.
  • Storage: Store fudge in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks or freeze for up to 3 months.
